PBX attended the 2015 ITS Canada Annual Conference and General Meeting held in the National Capital Region May 24-27. The conference was very well attended and included key note speakers from both North America and Europe. The conference theme of “Collaboration for better connection – smart Highways, smart Cities, smart Transport” led to numerous interesting and informative presentations during the technical sessions on topics such as connected vehicles, integrated corridor management, Big Data, and urban mobility. The exhibitor floor featured a number of new and upgraded technologies and showcased two connected vehicles with highly integrated suites of technologies.
PBX was a Silver-level sponsor for the event. Cory Edgar delivered an engaging presentation on the Variable Speed Limit Sign System project that is currently underway and also presented the ITS Project award for the Smaller Municipality-Rural Application category. PBX was very proud to be part of the team that received the ITS Program award for the BC Regional Transportation Management Centre in the Larger Municipality or Provincial-Federal category.
PBX Engineering would like to congratulate all of the finalists and recipients of 2015 ITS Canada Awards. We’re looking forward to next year`s conference in Calgary.
