The Owner intended to expand its functional imaging capability with the installation of a PET/CT scanner at the BC Cancer Agency Victoria Centre. The project consists of relocating an existing CT scanner (GE Optima CT850 W – Radiology) to a CT scanner room that is currently empty, then renovating an existing CT scan room and adjacent space to create a fully functioning PET/CT suite complete with change rooms, uptake rooms, Physician reading rooms, and a washroom.
PBX Provided electrical engineering design services for the expansion and renovation of the existing CT Department at the BC Cancer Agency’s Victoria Centre. The project involved two phases. The first phase involved renovating an existing area and relocating an existing CT Scanner to the newly renovated space. The second phase involved a complete renovation and expansion of adjacent space for the accommodation of a new PET/CT.
