PBX provided electrical engineering and systems integration services for the City of Vancouver (CoV) Landfill Redevelopment project, including design drawings, specifications, construction, and commissioning services. The CoV Landfill Redevelopment project included new automated weigh scales and peripheral devices at all four entrance and egress lanes on-site, new operator scale house building and kiosks, changes to the lighting and power systems across the site, design of automated traffic control system including loop detection, CCTV cameras, fibre optic cables, and new lift gates. PBX was responsible for the complete electrical design and construction oversight. Systems integration included systems design, software development, commissioning, and training for the automated traffic control system.
PBX Engineering’s design approach included the utilization of technology and best practices from the Security, Industrial Control, and Transportation fields to create the overall integrated system.
PBX liaised with the CoV to obtain and confirm the electrical services for this project. In addition, PBX coordinated all necessary work with civil and structural designers, as well as architects, to prepare the design package (including specifications and cost estimate).
