PBX Engineering takes pride in being a locally-owned and operated company. Being a local company comes with a desire to assist and give back to the community where possible. As an internal mandate, PBX Engineering strives to assist in strengthening the socio-economic health of the region by providing monetary and volunteer support to various agencies and charities in Victoria and Vancouver. One such charity is the Ride to Conquer Cancer, which provides funds directly to the BC Cancer Foundation. The money raised supports leading clinicians, scientists, and researchers whose search for new discoveries and improved patient outcomes will have a real impact in our communities throughout the province, across Canada, and around the world. This disease has impacted every single one of our lives in some way or form; this fundraising ride helps to ensure we continue our progress in conquering cancer.
Since 2011, PBX has been sponsoring staff members who are participating in the annual Ride to Conquer Cancer. In 2016 our staff participants, Andrew, Irvin & Jesse, along with previous PBX’er Max McLean, have raised over $10,800 for the BC Cancer Foundation through this endeavour. The event took place this August and it was an epic 2-day and 200 km bike ride. In addition to each year’s fundraising contributions, PBX has funded over $5000 in prizes for fundraising events, uniforms, and donations. Our team, The Unstoppables, are already looking forward to next year’s challenge and planning on surpassing their 2016 contributions!

Thank you to all of our supporters! Let’s make an impact in our communities and our future.
