Gary Brykov P.Eng.

Gary Brykov is a Design Engineer with PBX Engineering in Vancouver, British Columbia. Mr. Brykov is a Professional Engineer and has gained a wealth of experience in the municipal, security, industrial, and transportation sectors.  During his time at PBX Engineering, Mr. Brykov has worked on a number of projects spanning several areas of practice, allowing him to gain a experience in the following areas:

• Experience in design and construction of electrical projects in various sectors, including security, intelligent transportation, corrections and communications.
• Involvement with the full spectrum of the project lifecycle, ranging from conceptual planning and functional requirements, to fully engineered design solutions, to on-site deployment and integration services, to on-going maintenance and support.
• Responsibilities include design and specification, quality control, field implementation, systems integration, construction inspections, commissioning and acceptance testing.
• Detailed design of security networks ranging in size from single-camera systems to networks involving hundreds of managed analog, IP and thermal cameras.
• Detailed design of low and medium power distribution systems.
• Detailed design of communication and card access systems over various mediums.
• Detailed design of pedestrian and vehicle access control systems.
• Detailed design of perimeter intrusion detection systems, including radar systems and fence detection.
• Video analytics systems research and selection, field of view and camera layout calculations, facility security assessments and technology reviews.
• Construction specifications and documentation.
• Design of small networks and configuration and troubleshooting of medium-sized networks.
• Network infrastructure analysis, physical network planning, fibre optic distribution systems and RF point-to-point communications.
