Irvin Naidu is a Design Engineer with PBX Engineering in Victoria, British Columbia. Born and raised in a small coal-mining town in British Columbia’s Rocky Mountains, Irvin has a natural inclination towards building relationships, and has a great appreciation for the outdoors. Irvin has gained a wealth of experience in the municipal, security, industrial, and transportation sectors.  Irvin has acquired strong foundational design skills with PBX Engineering through working on traffic signals, roadway lighting, intelligent transportations systems, CCTV systems, and access control systems. Irvin enhanced his engineering capacity gaining significant detailed design, management, and manufacturing experience as the electrical lead designer for FLIR Integrated Systems developing manned and unmanned surveillance platforms.

During his time at PBX Engineering, Mr. Naidu has worked on a number of projects spanning several areas of practice, allowing him to gain a wealth of experience in:

  • Development and implementation of PLC based process control, automation, and SCADA systems.
  • Industrial/Municipal Control Systems design (SCADA, water, sewage)
  • PLC/HMI/SCADA programming and commissioning
  • Detailed design and simulation of roadway and area lighting systems.

  • Network infrastructure analysis, physical network planning, fibre optic distribution systems, and wireless point-to-point communications.
  • Detailed design of comprehensive CCTV and access control security and operational systems.
  • Construction specifications and documentation.
